# Cat coaster

# Project


This is the template, which needed some image editing.

Note: the image is not 100% symmetric. Therefore, I needed to pay attention which is the right part and which is the left part.

I cutted the marquetry wood, and two 10cm diameter pieces of plywood where the pattern is draw on it.

The first trial was not successful (I tried 7cm diameter, which was too small and without border: I broke one ear)
The second trial was better:

I started gluing the main parts

And obtained two coaster.

You can see the large glue marks.

I sanded it to remove glue marks. I finished with a 600 grain to get something very soft.

Last, I finished with two layers of varnish.
