I went to a bakery, bought a croissant and other pastries to eat at home. In my car, I putted the croissant (which was on a paper bag) in contact to my shoulder bag. As a results, I got a few fat spot on the right side of my bag. There is one dark on the left. For this one, I cannot help.
You cannot “remove” the fat. However, you can mask it.
To soften the leather and avoid it cracking, one of the thing to do is to oil the leather. I used neatfoot oil, which is a good candidate.
So I progressively oiled the leather with a clean rag.
You can see how dark it becomes. You cannot see the spot anymore. However, now you see this area.
So, let’s do the first visible half.
And a gradient on the back. Now its almost invisible.
The leather would recover its color after time. Here the photographs have been taken one month later.
